Suffering from Tuberculosis, Doc hoped the dry air and hot springs would help ease his symptoms. Unfortunately, he passed away in the hotel in November of the same year. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Bullock family originally owned the haberdashery in the Hotel Glenwood in 1942. In 1945, the Hotel burned to the ground, so the store was restarted across the street. George Bullock then bought the land the Hotel stood on and rebuilt. Bullocks reopened in its original location in 1949.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo honor Doc and share his history with the location, Bullocks donates a space to the Historical Society where many of Doc's belongings and items from the time period are displayed.
